I too have raised a child on the autism spectrum. I couldn't imagine living without stress because i was overwhelmed with feelings of guilt and isolation. I believed my fate as his parent was all about self sacrifice and duty. I did not want that kind of life, but how was he going to make it in this world, otherwise? All that I really wanted was for him to be happy. I thought I had to protect him from worldly judgement, intolerance, manipulation and criticism, and my first obligation was to try to mold him into a "model citizen", so his differences wouldn't be so obvious. Newsflash! Our children with autism cannot be put in a box. Because autism is neurological, they are unique individuals that may view the world from a totally different perspective. This awareness allowed me to free myself of limiting beliefs that kept us both frustrated.
Our kids can be like tuning forks. They tend to be super sensitive to the energy of your thoughts and feelings, in ways that may not be obvious. So how can we capitalize on this potential for true, authentic connection?
I have discovered how to co-create with my clients a safe, judgement free, relationship enhancing zone, where they can grow into the person with the skills and capacity to listen, feel and deeply connect with their child, for ultimate relationship.

Darcel Spears’ path to become an Energy Relationship Coach/Facilitator has been a heart lead journey.
Her yearning for a greater authentic connection with her son with autism lead her to become a graduate of the Institute For Woman Centered Coaching, Training and Leadership, Gendai Reiki Master, Energy Sound Medicine Facilitator, Reconnective Healing Practitioner and a member of the Accessibility Advisory Committee for the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science.
Her coaching/facilitation practice supports parents of children with autism in new and empowering ways to relate with self, their children with autism and their communities. She teaches proven strategies for richer, more peace filled lives.
